Question
Should the blue LED on the power switch remain on when the battery is disconnected?
This may well be a silly question, but should the blue LED on the power switch remain on when the battery is connected but the light switched off? It does make it useful to find the light switch when its dark, but I wonder how quickly it will drain the battery? For example, should I be disconnecting the battery from the light each evening to prevent necessary charging? I am guessing that the current draw of the blue LED is so low it's insignificant, but it would be good to have this confirmed.

It always stays on on mine while the battery is working properly.
I'm advised that it should change to red when the battery's low but I've never seen it yet.

The light should be on, as you are right, the draw from a tiny LED like that is absoloutely insignificant. It is certainly MORE useful that you can see the switch in the dark!

Yes, I believe so. The draw from the battery is very low and over a week the battery had not discharged significantly when I left mine connected for over a week, but I tend to disconnect the battery from the light unit if I'm not going to be using the bike for more than two or three days.

Yes mate, it should stay on. As for power useage, it's so minimal I should think that it'd run for years with it on.
Great light though isn't it?!
