Mine came in a box with a few other items t-shirt etc but it was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and other soft packing.

This would depend on the other items purchased with the book. If purchased alone the book would likely be sent in a padded envelope, otherwise it would be sent in a box with the other goods.
