Hi Damo, Got a pair of these recently & definitely wire bead, not folding. If you're looking for a folding tire, look elsewhere. However, if you're after a tire that's very puncture resistant, & the folding requirement doesn't matter, then these are definitely the one.

after fitting,inflate about half the final pressure before fixing wheel to the bike. stand the wheel upright , grab the side walls of the tyre and with both thumbs,push the tyre with an upwards motion as if to push the tyre off the rim.all the way round, you will probably see a fine ridge on the tyre which will lay just outside the wheel rim.get this ridge the same distance from the rim all the way round and then fully infllate. check again , then fit wheel if you are satisfied.

Yes.. it's just very hard to get the tyre on.
