not realy a rigid frame more of a built in design of flexible frame and a mesh.
Anny way i can feel air getting down to that region when its cold out

No it doesn't. It fits straight to your back but it does have a breathable membrane on the back panel. I've put a picture of the back of mine so you can see.

there is no internal frame or structure to the bag to prevent contact with the back but there are two pads running down each side of the bag to hold the centre of the bag away from the back. This allows air to flow down your back when the bag is in use.
