good saddle for those events, not the lightest saddle but very comfortable.

I would say "yes" but knowing what I do of triathletes, it may be thought of a a little overweight. Having said that, the weight would be negated by the comfort afforded and energy not directed to discomfort thoughts

It should be, it's comfortable, and relatively lightweight. I've covered some 1,800 miles on one of these, and just bought one for my second cycle.
