Questions & Answers for NiteRider Minewt 700 Dual Front Light

Question
Please explain "Splitter Cable Allows Single or Dual Usage Multichip LED"
With regard to the NiteRider Minewt 700 Dual does this mean one light can be on whilst the other is off?

If the cable is used both LEDs will be on all the time. To use one LED you would have to physically disconnet one of them. However it is much more practical and usefull to fier both at half intensity.

answer 2
The splitter cable has one end that attaches to the battery, and the other end has 2 connectors, each one is used to supply power to the 2 lights. If you only want to have one light on, then you only connect one of the cables. The un-used one hangs loose.

Question
Can anyone confirm the 700 interferes with the Cateye Strada double wireless?
According to CatEye"Unfortunately most wireless, RF-technology bike computers (like the Strada Wireless) can not be used in conjunction with HID or similar high-power lights, as the lights generate too strong a field of electrical interference for the computer to consistently pick up the wireless RF signal."

Question
What size is the battery pack?
Someone else mentioned in the Q&A section that the battery pack is 80 x 40 x 40 mm in size.

This is incorrect. I believe that was the old size; the new size is 115 x 40 x 40 which is....well....huge! Doesn't look pretty, sitting underneath the top bar unfortunately.

Question
Can the smaller and lighter battery from the previous version of the Minewt Dual Front light be used to charge the new dual light system?
The new system has high medium and low beam, as well as flashing, compared with high low and flashing of the old system. Unfortunately, the new battery is about twice as long and much heavier. As a result the new battery cannot be placed under the stem, and must go under the top tube.
