Yes both, you choose which you would prefer on set up. I always use MPH but there are two profile options so you can have one set to MPH and one to KMPH and switch between the two. I don't do this so I don't know if switching whilst on a ride would reset all the info.

Yes. However, no quick way of doing it (i.e. by just pressing one of the buttons) you need to go into the setup each time to swap.

Waterproof? You can ride your bike in the rain and then should wipe your computer down with the rest of your bike. the computer is like any other, look after it and it will serve you well. The computer is a bike computer and is well designed for outdoor use.

Seems like it should be - the only buttons are on the underside and hence very protected from the elements. To change the display you press the face of the device itself and it pivots slightly to press a rear button against the mount, it's a nice design idea.

If you submerged it, perhaps it wouldn't fare well - but it's quite hard to cycle in rivers and lakes anyway.

Waterproof, don’t know if anything ever is, but it is certainly water resistant enough for riding in the rain. The battery cases on the computer and sender both have rubber O rings

you'd have to keep changing the wheel circumference settings from 700c to 26" mtb wheels, so i'd opt for 2 units or go for a garmin edge unit, which you could swap over without any issues

Yep, it'll store 2 wheel sizes and you can flip between them. There's a trip odometer display for each.

You can buy a second mount + sensor for a not-insane price, I think.

answer 4
you'd have to have a lot of cable ties to re-attach it each time you changed it from bike to bike and you would have to change the tyre size details each time which would result in losing your total distance data. Probably better just to buy two! (funds permitting)
answered 1 year, 9 months ago
by
westicles69
answer 5
During the initial set-up it requires wheel and tyre size + width info, you could use it on two bikes but for precise speed and distance you may need to set up for each swap? Unless wheel size and tyres are the same, which would then be simpler. The zip-tie fixing for the forks sensor could be tricky...

Yes, but you would need to get yourself a second wireless transmitter, and at the price of these babies, best to buy a second one and have both your bikes set up in my opinion.

answer 7
Yes, I've been doing this for a while but you'll need a second magnet & sensor for the second bike.
The different wheel sizes can be programmed into the computer and then you can select which one your using at the start of the ride (don't forget to swap it back though when you change back between bikes!)

You would need another sensor. The computer does have two wheel sizes I think. So you would have to select the appropriate wheel size for each bike.

Question
Is it possible to enter ANY wheel size?
Is it possible to set this odometer up for ANY wheel size?
I want to use it for a large-scale model railway, not a bicycle! But provided it will let me enter any wheel size (eg. 28cm diameter) not just the much larger pre-set bicycle sizes I think I should be OK.

This computer allows for settings within a pre-set range that meets the needs of cyclists. As a modeller your question indicates a level of creativity. If you can place the sensors in the right spots it will work.

This computer does not feature computer based uploads and downloads so you can't use it with your Apple Mac computer. You will need to upgrade to a higher spec computer such as the Garmin Edge or similar to get computer uploads.

No, you need a direct line with computer and sensor for them to exchange data, so they wouldn't work if you attached the sensor to the rear.
Unless of course you put the computer back there too!
