If you have a standard road bike, then the Racer kit is all that you'll need - it will have enough cables and housing for both your gear and brake set-ups. Only bikes with internal cables, of the type with require full length housing, will need more cable then what's available here.

Yes these can be used for STI but there are better options. The inner cables are rough which leads to imprecise shifting unless a lot of lube is used. I wanted teh colour options these cables gave and switched in some Dura Ace gear inners and got a far better response. Hope this helps.

I put them on my Ultegra SL STI shifters no problem. They are standard cables, will fit any STI.

Yes - they work very well with Shimano and SRAM in my experience. I am sure they also worth with Campy, but haven't yet had the chance to do that install myself yet.

In my experience, NO! The steel nipples for both inner cables (brake and gear) are too large for the recesses in the Campag Ergo levers.

Yes - depending on the levers you use. Std road levers will be ok. Be careful cutting the outer as it comes in one extra long length that you cut to make a front and rear.

NO. The lugs on the mtn bike brake cables are different ot road bikes. Buy mtn bike brake cables.

29er MTB Frame, w\ Road levers
Hello.

Building up a 29er with drop bars, the gear cables are long enough but I dont think the brake cables will be long enough to reach to a front disc brake. I need 950mm for the front and 1550mm for the rear.

Can you confirm the length of inner and outer brake cable for this kit.
