Yes you can. The 500 can be pre-loaded with the details of both bikes.

You will need a second cadence sensor , which can be bought separately, if that is important to you.

Absolutely. You will need to purchase the mounting bracket and Cadence and speed sensors separately to fit to your other bike - the Garmin computer is then easily interchangeable.

Yes, as long as you have the sensor installed on both bikes. It lets you configure it for more than one bike. I don't think it can it automatically switch the bikes based on the installed sensor's serial number.

Yup - you can program multiple bikes into it & just tell the garmin which bike your on. You get 2 mounts in the box (to leave on the bikes) & can buy more seperate!

answer 11
Yes. The head unit can be programmed for multiple sensors. Get a GSC-10 pack for your second bike for speed/cadence.

The bike-switch menu option is annoying to use - it irks me having to push ten buttons just to change bike - but it's only annoying once per ride.

You cannot load courses into this device.

You download the data into the Garmin supplied software - or one of the many free applications available on-line. You can then see your route, distance, time, elevation and speed. You can also export the data to Google Earth and see exactly where you have been.

There are no geographical restrictions. My UK-bought Edge 500 works fine here in Melbourne.

However, Garmin Australia will not service or support an imported unit; service or warranty would mean shipping it back to the UK.

The speed and cadence sensor are built into the same detector that you mount next to your rear wheel. You put a magnet on your rear wheel and then you put the cadence sensor on your crank on the same side and align everything and it works.

So, yes, it is on the back wheel.
