Questions & Answers for Gore Bike Wear Gore Alp X III Thermo Long Sleeve Cycling Jersey

Question
Could you give the details of the jersey?
Hello,
Does the Alp X jersey have any windproof panels? I cannot see such info on Gore web page.
Is the front side and sleeves (or sleeve tops) made of windproof fabric, like e.g. Endura Windchill jacket? Or is it made of some thermal non-windproof fabric?
If this jersey is non-windproof, does Gore make any partially windproof (front+sleeves) jerseys/jackets which you could have in stock?
Thanks and BR,
Agris

The Alp X doesn't have windstopper panels. I suggest you look at Gore Ozon jerseys, short or long sleeves.

This jacket does not have windproof panels. It is a thermal non-windproof fabic. For really cold days I'd suggest a gillet over this jacket.
There are a number of windproof Gore Bike Wear jackets available from Wiggle. See below for just some of them.

Hi,

I have had this jersey for 2 weeks and used it in really cold Sydney conditions (5-10 degrees C).

It keeps me warm with a single base layer - it is wind resistant and water resistant in light showers.

It's fantastic.

There is no mention of this particular jacket being windproof, I would suggest entering "gore windproof" into the Wiggle search engine.

It feels fleece like but I'd say the pile isnt as long as fleece. It is however quite warm and comfortable against the skin. You can feel the seams slightly if you think about it but nothing major. Its a very comfortable jersey.

answer 4
No.
The fabric is more like lycra, though not as clingy - it does have a very low pile brushed finish to the inside

answer 5
The background of the fabric is somekind of fleece or hairy material. It's comfortable and warmer than basic lycra. But the fabric is thin.

Question
How small does it fold it up?
Just wondering if it would fold up small enough to easily fit in the back pocket of a lighter short-sleeve top - then could layer them for the flat and take it off for uphills. Any thoughts much appreciated.
