Questions & Answers for Vittoria Removable Valve

Question
What do I require for 101mm deep section wheels?
Have just bought a set of Vittoria Corsa evo's to go with a set of planet X 80/101 wheels. The 110mm extension does't seem quite long enough for the rear wheel, leaving only 10mm sticking out.
Can I put a short extension on in addition to the 110mm extension?

thanks

Yes, but underneath as the Vittoria extensions do not have a removable core.

No problem with that.
For certainty I use teflon tape to prevent possible air leakage.

Just add a short valve extender to the top of the 110mm valve,

Unfortunately you cannot add another extension, so you would need a longer extension, like a 150mm for example.

Question
Can I use the Vittoria Removable Valve on non-Vittoria tubulars?
I'm planning on buying Veloflex Extreme or Veloflex Sprinter tubular tyres which, from their description on your website, come with a Presta 36 mm valve with changeable core.

Would these Vittoria Removable Valves fit removing the original Veloflex core?

Thanks!

It may be important to be specific here. There is a valve and there is a stem.

If you are trying to remove the valve from a Vittoria stem, you can not do that. The valve is integrated into the stem. They are not separate parts.

If you are trying to remove the stem, it is firmly bedded onto a threaded male counterpart integrated into the tire. Vittoria supplies a plastic tool (see the included image) with their replacement stems that makes removal easy. If you don't have this tool, I would suggest wrapping a piece of tape - maybe electricians tape - around the existing valve and using pliers. Unscrew counter clockwise. The tape will hopefully help you avoid any cosmetic damage.

Pliers, small spanner or small plastic valve tool.

answer 3
should come with a small black plastic 'tool' to remove them, if not find a spanner the right size, grip the tube below the valve with your fingers & twist both in the opposite direction

I bought the 80mm, which works fine. My tires (Crono EVO CS II) come with a 40mm extension, which would not have been long enough.

You will require at least 48mm so the best option would be the 80mm.

Question
Can I use these as valve extenders for tubes without removable valve core eg Michelin latex.
It would mean that i could lock the valve off, downside would be having to remove it to deflate the tube.

Unfortunately not, this will not screw onto a presta valve so you need to remove the valve before using this.

Question
Do these removable Vittoria extenders have removable valve cores?
I want to be able to screw on a set of shorter extenders to give me a total length that is enough to fit Zipp1080's. I need these extenders to have a removable core so I can thread the shorter extenders into this red removable system shown.

It will work fine. I guess it will be visible about 30 mm above the rim making it easy to inflate air.

Yes the 80mm valve extension should be fine for the DV46 rim.

You might consider a smaller valve combined with an extender.

Unfortunately not, if you are using the extender on standard rims you could order a longer 80mm size.
