I'm not an expert but I'd say that everything else than water will give you issues in a CB over time. Cleaning propperly will - but only postpone - the replacement of the old CB.
I recognize a slight aftertaste in waterbotles if I just refill with water during the same training ride, but that doesn't bother me - I actually look forward to drink the Zero stuff :)

yes, and the worst it'll do is discolour the inside after a lot of use. Just give it a good clean now and then with a bit of chlorine in the water.

I use these in the Camelbak for longer rides. Cant think of any potential hazards other than they do omit a slight aeration-which is release on drinking. You will need a few tablets for full capacity-but leave space for the air expansion.

Yes, you can. It reacts like a Berocca, so it fizzes away. Maybe just make sure it's dissolved before sucking through the straw.

I've read on a forum that someone has used these in a water bladder and that a lot of gas is initially released, so I suppose the answer is yes. I intend to use them in this way. I can imagine excess pressure when you bite on the valve the very first time so would probably avoid problems by squeezing with fingers and aiming it away - some liquid will of course be wasted in this way. The other alternative would be to only fill the bladder say two thirds full so that the pressure can be taken up within the bladder. Sorry all this is only theory.

Yes you should be fine adding these to a camelbak. Just be aware that the tablets fizz which can cause pressure, you should wait to do up the cap or release the air periodically to prevent a water escape from the valve.

answer 2
If you are experiencing cramps on a regular basis I encourage you to consult a healthcare professional or nutritionist that specialises in athletes. Having said that, these tablets work better for me than anything else I have tried in reducing/preventing cramps. Im able to use them at the recommended dose (and higher) without the drink being too sweet (a common reason people dont use full strength). Also make sure you are sufficiently hydrated at ALL times and not just whilst on the bike.

no and yes. Zero is an isotonic mix no carbs but full electrolytes. If you add it to Torq Energy it would have to be the carbohydrate only Torq or you will have too high a concentration of electrolytes

Most sports drinks are optimised for absorption when made up as per their instructions. If you add one drink to another my guess is you mess up the balance of both. If I were going about this, I'd take a bottle of each with me, both made up as instructed. Or else I'd add one drink to the other - i.e. Torq made up as instructed, added to High5 Zero made up as instructed - so that the optimum solut levels are still maintained. Then use with energy gels to get the energy per hour rate you want.

Zero drinks reduce cramp and Torq is an energy drink, however we would not encourage mixing the 2 as the stomach may not be able to process the mixture.

Yes- three, Sorbitol, Saccharine, Acesulfame K, in that order.
As a personal note I would add that I strongly dislike the taste of most sweeteners, and I find these tablets ok, probably because, Sorbitol and Acesulfame K are two of the least offensive tasting sweeteners and these tablets also include citric acid and malic acid which offset the sweetness nicely and make it quite 'fresh' tasting

I'd check on the side of the tube (or website) for precise electrolyte content.

I add 1 tablet to 500mls H20 so:

• ZERO BERRY: BERRY FLAVOUR ELECTROLYTE DRINK TABLET. Ingredients: Citric Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sweeteners (Sorbitol, Sucralose), Malic Acid, Tri Sodium Citrate, Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Carbonate, Flavouring, Colour (Beet Juice), Maltodextrin, Calcium Carbonate, Polyethylene Glycol, Vitamin C, Green Tea Extract. Each tablet contains: 11KCal, trace levels of Protein / Fat / Fibre, 2.6g Carbohydrate, 0.25g Sodium, 40mg Magnesium. So per 100ml it depends if you use this 1 tablet in 500ml or 750ml bottles, or maybe even use 2 tablets. Obviously divide by 5 if you use a 500ml bottle - to get values per 100mls.
