Just bought a black one - it's suede. After a couple of rides it's getting smooth, although given the shape, dont expect to move around too much in the seat...If thats what you're worried about.

I have the white one, it is leather, smooth. I also have a real vintage one, in suede, and I don't like that: it is too difficult to move on it. If this is the problem you want to avoid: DON'T WORRY and go for it: it is not suede.

I have the white one for an orange retro build. As far as I can tell it is real leather.

Question
Leather or Suede
This question has already been asked, but I'm looking for some more clarity...

The Concor Saddle you offer (not the one with racing graphics, the plain one). The black one looks to be a fine suede. However, the white one looks to be smooth leather.

Is this the case? I'm after a smooth leather/fake leather one. Like a Flite or Regal or Rolls covering.

The black colour saddle comes in a Chamois leather which has a suede effect feel to it. The white colour is a smooth leather effect so does not have the suede effect.

Question
Can the leather be treated with a conditioner to make it last longer and break in faster?
Aka Brooks' Proofide?

I know the black version is apparently a sued surface, which cannot be treated, but apparently the white version is a smooth, leather surface? So can it be treated and conditioned to last longer and be more comfortable like any other leather item?

The white version of the saddle is a smooth non suede effect saddle made from natural leather. You should be able to apply a clear leather conditioner to this saddle.
