If you're on the border, go for smaller. That's what I did, and they fit perfectly.
(I'm 183cm and 75kg, so almost identical size to you Dan.)

A medium would be ok, but a small may have better compression. I am 180cm and 84kg and a medium fits me great.
Just order both sizes and return the one that doesnt fit.

Delivery takes about a 8-10 days to Sydney, depending on where the weekends fall relative to your order. If you order on a Monday, you will definitely have them by the end of the following week.

I recently purcahse a small size. I am 175 cm and 70 kg and the small is just right for me. The product looks very small and the legs just fit me. It's hard to call on this one -, small may just fit you, but it would take some effort to get into them each time. To be safe, i would suggest medium ?

answer 4
I'd go with a medium. If they are too small the compression in the thighs etc pulls the waist down a little so that the crotch does not sit properly, i.e. too low. This can be uncomfortable for running.

I have the elite and my partner has the standard. I have tried on the standard and I can say that although they compress well it is not to the level of the elite. If it is max compression you are after then go for the elites.

The Elite version has better quality fabric and or compression in likely tough spots - bum, back of calves.

The elite tights are higher denier than the standard.

They provide more compression.

It does make a difference.

Nup mate, they're on the banned list to AUS - would most likely be related to a restricted sales licence as there is an Australian distributor - not uncommon.

Can this be worn in the heat?
I will be training and running in temperatures around 30 degrees C and about 70-80% humidity. Can this compression suit be used for that?

Yes. When you putting this pair of tights, I have to agree that it will make your legs warm. During the run, given the heat and sweat or moisture produced through your body and your legs, this compression tights will help you dissipate the moisture as quick as possible and prevent the build up of lactic acids which will cause cramping. Only take off the tights 30mins after your training or running stops, the compression tights will help absorb the remaining moisture and put on a clean pair of it to help recover your muscles and this will be the key difference!

I used it them at 25°C at a night run, so it doesn't fit perfectly to your request, but it was very hot inside. I would rather choose a short compression tight. I never ran again with the elite compression tight at such high temperatures.

I use them for recovery but based on the comment I posted, I think you should in fact be quite comfortable. I would imagine they will allow sweat to evaporate freely and will enhance blood flow to the surface. Perhaps you need to consider some Assos cream to prevent irritation around the crotch area.

Hey Mamik
I have used them for run training.
Competition triathlons in swim, cycle then the run.
Definitely for after in recovery.
Even wore them in economy class on a plane once.
All the best

Hey mate.

I use this for recovery. I train in normal running shorts as that is what I compete in. I have a shower, and then wear a size medium all night and sleep in it when I can. The next morning, legs feel fresh again. Its actually allowed me to train harder all the time. I'm 5'11 and 82kg with thick thighs.

Question
Correct 2XU Sizing.
Hi,
I'm 180cm in height and 73kgs in weight. Should I go with the "Small" sizing or up to the "Med" sizing as I'm right on the line between both?? I'm after the 2XU Elite Mens Compression pants.

Thanks,
Ken Sullivan,
Australia.

Hi Ken,

I have been using the 2XU Men's Compression Tights for almost 2 years. Originally 2XU recommended Medium for 32 to 34 inch waist but now have a height/weight size matrix. I am 174cm tall, 64kg with 33inch waist and I find the Medium fit me well. If I refer to the new table I am in the middle of small but there is no way I could fit into a small. I would suggest small for 31inch or under waist.

The tights now come in long sizes so next time I am thinking of getting the medium-long version as the standard version is about 20cm above the top of my cycling socks.

I suggest taking your waist size into account.

Regards

Graeme
