The 404's come with valve extenders and they will be fine. There is no glue with the tyres, purchase this separately.

yeah mate, you need to buy some glue too. best off buying two valve extenders. save you time if you flat in a race, and the flat is the tyre which doesn;t have the extender on it...

You need glue which isn't included. I prefer tub tape - the Velox is good but Tufo is better - both from Wiggle. Search youtube for videos of how to fit a tubular tyre. You need a valve extender for each tyre and it stays on the tyre - no swapping after you've blown your tyre up! HTH

These tyres do not include glue, you will need to purchase it as a separate item.
You can sway the valve extenders if you wish but most do come as pairs.

hi, kenny from dubai here! you will need 80mm at least. i recommend spending a few extra $$$ and getting high quality tubbies - otherwise they puncture too easily and it's expensive to replace (also depends where you ride and for what events-melbourne was fine but i have had 2 flats in 6 weeks in dubai!!). do your research but the italian ones are generally great and have v.good revues, cheers, kenny

I fitted a pair of vittoria evo corsas 28 - 23
with vittoria 42 mm valve extentions on my 2010 303s and they were perfect..
As I am sure you are aware Zipp recommend at least a 23mm wide tyre on the new 303s. Hope you enjoy your 303s I am delighted with mine.

Question
Valve length - Vittoria Corsa Evo CX Tubular Tyre
I have a set of Zipp 999 's...it is 808 on the front and a disc rear.

Does the valve length for the Corsa Evo CX come in a shorter length? I am restricted by the hole of the opening in my disc. The value length on the tyre that I have just removed is only 32-36mm long.

What would be the best length of extention for the 808?

Cheers

I have an old set of spinergy carbon 4 fin wheels which I think have a similar profile.
I used 40mm extensions which are fine.
Just take out the new long valve section which screws out right at the tyre, insert the extension and then insert the valve section into the extension.

You can remove the valve on this tub and put a long or 2 shorter extenders on upside down then screw in the red valve that it comes with. depending on how much valve you want hanging out ,I guess you would use around 70 to 80 mm of extender.

Unfortunately these tyres do not come with a shorter valve than 42mm. The valve is removable but even separately they not available in shorter sizes. You will need to purchase a different tyre for a shorter valve.

For the 808 rims you will need a 74mm extension or more.

These will do you fine. You'll need valve extenders though. I recommend the Topeak or Vittoria ones as you can put these together to get a long enough valve for your rim depth.

The size required would depend on which width you require. 404's need a 48mm valve extension.

I find around 110 - 120psi is best for me. I use the same pressure road racing or time trialling. They will take up to 200psi but i find a little bit of suppleness works best.

Recommended pressure is between 8-14bar, what is best for you depends on both your weight and what you are using them for.
For example I'm 70kg and run them at 8-8.5 bar for road and crit racing in the dry. I tend to drop the pressure slighlty if the roads are damp.
Best thing to do is experiment and see what you prefer

On the Vittoria website there is a table of recommended pressures for different tyres and rider weights. Having tried different pressures, they seem pretty good recommendations. Too many people try over inflating to reduce rolling resistance but mess up cornering and ride quality.

You need to get the Vittoria valve extender.

I am using the 80mm extender with a similar depth rim (Zipp 404) and I think you'll be fine with that.

I thought similar. I had a fast forward FP6 and thought exactly that, i even tested it before putting it on the rim and it inflated/deflated fine. However, my LBS (who were gluing the tyre) said that they cant do it that way and that i had to order the longer vittoria valve. Not sure exactly why.

We wouldn't recommend using it this way round, purchasing the 110mm valve extender would be the best option.

Question
Can valve extenders be used with this tyre?
Hello, I have 101/82 deep section carbon wheels and therefore need valve extenders for my tubs.

I was hoping to get these tyres, but one of the reviews on Wiggles says they have non-removable valve cores (which contradicts the description in the picture). Can't tell from Vittoria's website what the case is - can you let me know, please?

We appear to have stock with and without removable cores, if you ask for removable cores in the order note section if you place an order we can check to make sure you recieve the correct ones.

No, these will only fit tubular rims. If you are referring to the Shamal tubeless wheelset, then you will need tubeless tires (such as the Hutchinson Fusion 2 Tubeless tires) - see http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Hutchinson_Fusion_2_Tubeless_Road_Tyre/5360042198/
