Distance accross the flats is 24mm. Any 24mm ring or adjustable spanner will work.

3/8. For 1/2 inch you would need a converter.

1/2 inch wrench, but since its shaped like a big hex nut at the back, you can also turn with a socket or spanner...Don't remember what size exactly.
