My opinion is that the L needs to go on the frame, but that the M could be carried in a pocket. The saddle bag isn't likely to work for carrying any size of this pump unless you're using an enormous satchel.

answer 3
I would say it is around 24cm long, not sure if that quite allows for pocket or saddle bag storage. Definitely in a small backpack or similar though.

The large certainly isnt. However if you buy a pump that fits in a saddle bag the not sure how useful it would be. You might want to try a CO2 pump as these are shorter.

Ummm, my bike is elsewhere so can't give you exact length but it is too long to go in a saddle bag. It would go in a pocket.

The bracket it comes with holds it very neatly in alongside your water bottle cage (and tucked under the water bottle when it is in place), it really doesn't get in the way there.

The main part of the valve can be smooth (like a vittoria ultralight) you just need the little bit right at the top to have a thread, which I'm sure all valves do

Yes, it does. Presta only - you get much better performance by screwing the extension tube onto the valve first, and then screwing the pump onto the tube.

answer 6
Yes, it does need threaded valves. In fact, that is its primary advantage, as you won't get those awful valve tear-outs you can have with fixed-head rubber-grip pumps.

answer 7
Yes as the hose screws on to the valve. You could possibly hold it on but then you will also require another pair of hands.

Question
length and diameter of Lezyne Road Drive size M
hi
i would like to fix my pump to the underside of my bike but not sure if the Lezyne Road Drive size M would be too long and fat to fit here and may pretrude below the bottom bracket.

if i knew the length i could determine if it will fit.

hope you can help.

I cannot be certain about the diameter other than I assume it is the same for the L as for the M since they use the same bracket.

That said, the length is 216mm and the diameter should be about 23mm at the thickest (handle) part.

This is a US product and on the home web-site it does offer spare mountings, but don't know how easy they would be to source in the UK. I would be afraid of forgetting to change the pump over so just bought one for each bike.
