Questions & Answers for TRP T925 Brakes

Question
side of the cable
Hi,
the front brake series Tektro TRP T925, has the exit of the cable at right (front view)? or, have you got a type of road bike brake with cable exit at right (front view)?
I have a problem with my recumbent, the brake that I have now is modified to avoid any problem with the chain, as the attached images. I need to find a solution!
Thanks
Fausto

I'm sure you can chose which side you want the cable to get out from. You can interchange the guide tube and the cable clamp on the calliper arms without a problem.

I am checking if I can use this for my small folding bike because the reach is relatively long.

The brakes will take a 28c tyre with some clearance but it can depend more on your frame when fitted, just be sure that your frame can take the tyres that you wish to buy also.

The measurement is from the fitting bolt to the two extremes of the brake pad vertical adjustment.

The "front version" is designed to be fitted only behind a fork. And the rear version is going to be too short for your 65mm reach with its maximum of 51mm unfortunately.
I use a "rear" one on the front of my fork, but on a TT bike with 24mm tires.

These brakes are made for TT bikes so the front brake is designed to go on the back of the fork. You'll therefore need to buy 2 rear brakes (from recollection) and an aftermarket bolt for the one that'll go on the front. Don't worry about going to the manufacturer for this bolt. They sell it in the USA but the website does not give o/s options and they do not respond to emails. Plus there is no quick release opener for the tyre to be pulled through the jaws. Also, they are not the lightest around. They work smoothly enough but if i had my chance again id get something else.
