Question
Are these shorts supposed to be worn over normal mtb shorts?
I'm thinking of using these as a second layer protection against mud and unexpected rain during a ride.

You could wear shorts underneath these but it will affect the breathabillity of the item. These would give you suitable protection against mud and water on their own.
