Will the FlightDeck SC-7900 work with an Ultegra triple?
If so, what would the total cost of the necessary components be? If there is VAT, will that be subtracted for shipment to the USA? Does the unit display gearing as previous units did?

No way !! the 7900 is a totaly new concept ,for the cable version you have a transmitter in each shifter whereas the 7800 has wires and they go in the side of the levers . The 7900 DI2 has a seperate wire kit that the flightdeck mounts onto , so your out of luck
