Long Sleeve Compression Base Layer SS10

Customer Questions & Answers for
Long Sleeve Compression Base Layer SS10

Utilising our exclusive 50D/CK fabric we have combined a 50 denier Lycra together with a revolutionary circular knit high gauge construction, which provides the most compressive fabric on the market. Whether this garments is used on the slopes, or participating in active sports, the graduated compression of the top is fundamental to remove the waste by products the body produces during high active sport, which causes fatigue. The extra push of blood from the lower arms and back towards the heart allow this top to give you another level of performance and will allow you to perform longer with less fatigue. 2XU Compression is the new standard in high performance compression wear. Stop making compromises with second rate products that use fashion fabric and pass it off as 'performance' with big marketing words. If you're serious about getting the best compression performance on the market then make the leap to 2XU. Dozens of world champions, the Victorian Institute of Sport and a growing list of top athletes from many disciplines choose 2XU compression. Why? Because now there is a compression product that will actually meet the demands they place on it.

It's a compression top. It will be snug. Won't keep you warm. It will keep you cool. At least mine does.

yes great for running and cycling. good for warmth but also wick away moisture well. You MAY find it hard to get on quickly in your transition though, I find putting them on when a bit wet tricky as you need a snug fit to get the benefits of the compression

It is basically a base layer but has a very tight fit and is cut to provide support and compression. It will keep you warm but is designed to have one or two layers on top in colder times. You should order for a tight fit.

I'm a 39" chest, quite stocky build with a 31" waist - the medium is a good and very tight fit, I don't think you should go any smaller.

You need a large. The 2XU compression tops fit really tight. If it's not specifically the compression element you want, then have a look at the Nike pro combat long sleeved top instead.

Are these tops any good for keeping your warm, also, allowing your body to breath when it starts to get hot??

absolutely! I use them for running and cycling all year round and they definitely breathe and wick moisture away from your body when you get hot and keep you warm when it's chilly. I also use them as a base layer when snowboarding. I was in Finland at Christmas (-14 to -20C) and was plenty warm enought in one of these plus a thin fleece and a shell jacket. The claims about recovery are also valid. I definitely feel better quicker if I've worn these when working out

Hello,

The compression tops regulate your body temperature by improving circulation.

They also wick sweat away from the body to keep you dry.

Wore mine over a 20km bike ride across mixed terrain. Was very comfortable and wicked moisture away well. I was dry. Couldn't say teh same for my outer layer though. I noticed the 2XU changed my posture on the bike. Opened my chest up and it was fractionally easier to breath.
