It is just the bar and the plastic part at the end, there is no locking pin supplied

which type for GT frame?

GT triple triangle frame similar to
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/58/GT_triple_triangle_frame.JPG

would this count as a "small" frame from the "which hamax alternative bar point" of view? (even though its not, its a 19" mens MTB) with the bracket clipping on the down tube below the top "triangle"?

This is more based on the size of your bike, I would consider a 19" frame to be on the large side so a standard fit should be ok. If this gives a forward or backward slop you can return it to order the "Solve" bar for the fitting problem.

Will Hamax fit Orange G3

I have an Orange G3 where the front mech cable runs along the top tube and down the seat tube. Will the bracket fit on the seat tube without hindering the front mech cable?

You should be able to fit the mount between the cable and the frame as the bulk of the bracket is on the main triangle side of the frame rather than the rear end. There is a chance it will interfere with your cable though.

If you have a standard frame then I would suggest the small frame size would be the appropriate sizing to go for in this case.
