Yes, in fact it is one of the better for carbon. I use it and have never looked back at anything else.

This should be fine for Carbon framed bikes. The rack doesn't clamp the frame it clamps the rear wheel and front fork.

It is as easy for someone to remove your rack as it is for you do so. Generally you should remove the rack if it is not in use.

You should be fine although the rack doesn't hold the frame in any way so all the stress is put through the rear wheel and QR mounting. I would worry that you would have to tighten the quick release alot in order to get a solid fitting so perhaps it would be better to go for a conventional frame mounting upright stand instead.

The answer from Thule is that they do not recommend using anything other than Thule rack systems and that they are unable to guarantee compatibility with any other rack systems other than their own.

Question
Will this fork attachment system work on Maverick forks?
Since they have a unique fitting; there is a semicircular clip which goes round a 20mm axle and attaches to a bolt to hook it, before snapping the clip/clamp shut. I can't tell from the illustrations whether this will work or not. The trouble is, the bike is a Whyte 46 which is so big, the conventional carriers' retention arms are not long nough to reach the downtube!

This depends on the axle type of the fork. If the fork is the standard QR version of the RockShox Recon 335 you will be fine as it is. If you have a 15mm axle on the fork you will need a adapter.
