DHB sizing tends to be quite small, I would suggest referring to the sizing chart found under the description tab.

Question
can you tell me if these come with the threaded inserts to accept cleat bolts
Already asked this, but perhaps wasn't specific enough...I know that the bolts come with the cleats, but want to know if these have the plate in them with a female thread. Many thanks.

Yes, they do have the threaded plate. I got some cheap Wellgo cleats, about half the price of Shimano ones, and they bolted straight in with no problem.

Question
Flat pedals?
Can these be used with flat pedals? I ideally want a pair of shoes for commuting to work on my bike for use with toe clips as this is more convenient but also occasionally for touring. So ideally a fairly solid sole that would probably be better than wearing running trainers with air in the sole! Any guidance would be much appreciated!!

Thanks

Hi, I bought these shoes to get in to clipless pedaling but i have not got round to putting on my clipless pedals yet. These shoes are working fine on flat pedals the only thing i have found is the grips on the shoes seem to get locked on to my pedals at points but most of the time there i no problem with that.

Yes they can be used with flat pedals or with clips but it does take a few minutes to change between the two.

Yes - have the same pedals. use the T1 shoes in winter and the R1 in Summer - both work fine with the cleats. For occasional trips to shops / out with kids use the flip side with trainers / flip flops. Works perfectly

Question
In what way do these size up small?
Apparently these size up small but is that in terms of width, or length, or both?

I take a 43 in normal shoes and some cycling shoes like Specialized BG, and a 44 in Sidi cycling shoes. Which size would be best?

These are a little small compared to other brands - eg I had a pair of 45 Shimano mtb shoes and the same 45 in these is a bit smaller, more like a 44.5 or 44.

If its any help I am often a 61/2 womens size and the 6 in these feels a little roomy. The 7 would have been enormous and the 5 probably a little small.
