Questions & Answers for Charge Slice Bullhorn Handlebar 2011

Question
If this bar doesn't fit a 2010 mixer, any suggestions?
Info on bar diameters is not easy to find - seems like something you're just meant to know.

The mixer has a modern 'Mountain' stem of 25.4mm and, I guess, an upright brake clamp of 22.2mm.

What bullhorns would fit?
Country: United Kingdom

As long as you also fit a mountain bike stem then yes it will. You need a combination of MTB stem and road levers.

Question
Will these take bar end shifters?
Is there enough of a straight section on the ends for the expander bolts? What is the inside diameter of the bars?

Question
Can you recomend some brake levers for these bars?
Can you recommend a brake lever (or two) you have in your store that would suit these bars. Ideally I only need a front (right) lever, but if I need to buy a pair then so be it. Just looking for something simple but effective for road bike calliper front brake.

Thanks
Phil

Question
What exactly is meant by "mountain bike stem"?
I mean, mountain bike stems can often be interchanged with road stems (the difference being mostly to do with strength etc.). Is it the 25.4mm clamp diameter?

Mountainbikes use 25.4mm clamping areas and 31.8mm as oversized. Road stems are 26.0mm or 31.8mm oversized. So the bar would need a MTB style stem to fit.

Unfortunately your brake levers will not fit the bars. The stem clamping area is 25.4mm but the lever/grip area is 24mm for road brake levers.
