Questions & Answers for FSA Pro Compact Road 46/48T Chainring

Question
How well does it change?
I am considering this chainring and went to have a look at one. When I saw it in the metal it appeared to be stamped rather than cut and there were no ramps or pins. So just how well does the chain transport on and off the ring?

Question
s-10 or c-10?
i have noticed that on the chainrings, either s-10 or c-10 is written. what does this means? does it mean shimano and campagnolo? or standard and compact?

the S-10 / C-10 designation refers to the compatibility e.g. S= Shimano & C=Campagnola.

whilst the teeth configuration may at first glance look the same there are minute differences in all critical dimensions to require specific use to match chain and other components.

Question
Are 50T chainrings marked with "S-9" compatible Shimano 10 speed?
I've recently purchased one of the FSA 110 PCD Compact Road Outer Chainring of 50T.
I noticed it has a mark of "S-9" on it, which I assume is compatible with Shimano 9 speed.
Is this compatible with Shimano 10 speed?
Are there same chainrings marked with S-10"?

The Omega chainrings are stamped AL6066 Aluminium rings in 50t. The Compact road chainrings are CNC machined T6/Al7075 aluminum rings and as such are a much higher quality. They are also available in 2 colour options and 2 sizes.

As long as your crank arms are 110 pcd you shouldn't have any issues with the parts listed working together.

As the BCD is the same on the chainset you have and these chainrings (110mm) fitting the 46T should be ok.
