the casette lockring removal tool certainly worked with my tiagra setup OK.
I had to replace the rear wheel and opted for fitting a new cassettem myself but the tool worked well.

Question
Instructions for use
I am new to bicycle maintainence and have just bought this tool kit.

Are there any instructions on how to use the tools?

How do I identify and find out what each tool in the kit does? I am ok with the basics (spanners, hex keys) it is the more specialist tools I am struggling with.

I went a bought a bike repair manual. Haynes and also the rough ride technical manual are good. Both describe the tools and how to use them:)

I suggest you get a book on bike maintenance or join a course (if this is available locally). The book I recommend is the Mag Book called the Ultimate Guide to Bicycle Maintenance.

If you have a helpful local bike shop it may also be worth getting them to do a job for you the first time and asking them to let you watch what they do.

Shimano 6700

I recently replaced my gear cassette and rear wheel (shimano wh r500 and tiagra 9 speed) and had no problems doing so. The shimano cassette ring wrench and chain whip did the trick wonderfully. Cranks I don't know as I haven't needed to replace them but if the 6700 is anythng like my Tiagra then you are going to need a large hex key to remove the crank arms which is not in this set, at least not that I can see.
Otherwise I would say this is a very useful kit and though a couple of the tools I haven't a clue what they are for yet I suspect I may find out in due time.

If you have the 6700 series I think you have the Ultegra series which has the hollowtech crank (google this if you don't know what I mean) The Tool kit comes with the hollowtech crank tool and cap remover. The casette is removed with the chain whip and locknut tool, both of which also come with the tool kit

Hi
It should do the trick.
However if you are looking specifically for a crank remover tool, buy just that, as this set is of poor quality, and you probably have got the allen keys and wrenches already!

No and Yes.

No - You won't be able to remove an older ISIS/octalink bottom bracket.

Yes - You can fit/remove New external bottom brackets like the newer 105 models

This should be enough to remove everything you need depending on the FSA Chainset. Most have a self extracting nut which you need to undo with the crankarm cap still on, if it is different to this i am sure the tool will be there as this set contains two standard size crank wrenches. The tools are all there to remove BB Mega exo and others. There are the tools to fit the 105 also.
