Question
Why doesn't this tool fit my Campagnolo Chorus (1990's) 8s crank?
It seems to fit the 10s Centaur crank perfectly that I intend to fit, but either the diameter is too big or the threads are too narrow to remove the older Chorus crank?

You need to screw the thread from the black end of the crank remover into your crank all the way until its tight, then plug a ratchet into the silver end and wind the tool up, this moves a pin which will push the crank arm away from the bottom bracket axle.

I used it on a square taper Suntour crank and it was fine.

answer 2
Yes, only make sure to:

1. put some lube on both the crank and tool threads
2. Screw the base all the way to the outside of the tool
3. Screw the tool ALL the way into the crank and fasten it using a wrench
Now you only have one chance, but it's the best chance. Go for it!
