I wouldn't try it aside from the brands 9sp to 10sp is generally not a good idea.

I am currently using this derailleur with a 8 speed cassette , (and a double up front.)
The only mod was to bend the outer plate slightly to stop it rubbing on the chain whilst it was was on the outer chain-ring
I believe a 9 speed would present no difficulties at all .

Im currently using an old 8 speed Dura Ace front mech on a 10 speed Dura Ace set up with STI`s and the mech works perfectly fine. Front mechs are not asked to a lot, its only a change over two rings so trial and error usually brings out a solution

You may be ok with this, some problems can crop up when mixing speeds such as having too wide a chain for the cage so you may get some rub. If you can stick to a 8/9 speed front mech to be sure.

As long as the left hand lever on your 105`s are double then this will work no problem. The same as it would work with a Dura Ace front mech or a Sora. Its only a two ring change and there is still enough room for the chain throw at the rear. Front mechs dont tend to prove to be a problem when mixing around groupsets etc.

Yes it will work fine. The double shift on your left hand lever covers the space between two chain rings and takes into account chain throw at the rear. The mech therefore will work fine with the Tiagra left hand lever

I would say as far as compatability goes it would fit but you may find the chain will be too wide for the cage on the Derailleur resulting in alot of rubbing.

This derailleur is designed for a double chainset. Using this on a triple shifter may cause incompatibility issues.

You could try but I'd avoid it, there are lots of cautionary tales about mixing 9 and 10spd, albeit usually the rear but why risk it?
