It should fit OK on your car. I've seen sedans with it on.
It fits almost any car as long, as theres no plastic spoilers under the steel straps.

the width is adjustable down to about 30cm, may be issues with smaller frames

I used to have a Rav and had a rack that hooked over the spare. The footprint of the rubber pads that sit mid way up the back of the car with this rack measure 50cm centre to centre. If the spare of the rav was that size then you should be able to mount this rack against the tyre cover and be able to anchor at the bottom and top of the door. Are they offset? May be a clearance issue between the body of the rack at the bottom of the door/spare although it does sit 15cm out from the base of the door. clearance there would be greater if the rubber feet were sitting on the spare
