Yes. The tubes are Continental quality 700*18-25 Race 28 with 42mm Presta valves. Continental assume you will use standard rims with the 4 seasons, which makes a lot of sense.

Question
Overpriced?
At £30 for a single tyre I dont see how this set is such a bargain at £70
2 inners for £10?.....nothing cheap about that.

I would agree not cheap, but quality is good, so for me they are value for money. I have historically used cheap inners tubes, but the ones supplied with the tyres are top notch

answer 2
With a discount I paid £54 and then got another £10 off in total I think with a voucher, so effectively a little over £45, or less than £20 per tyre.

answer 3
You are right these are not great value.

Had my first flattie with these tyres, probably only done 1000 km and they are not looking in good shape. This is a nice race tyre and handle great in the wet, but are not recommended for general commuting on city roads.

The value is in the quality of the tyres. These are superb tyres.

answer 5
The Conti 4 seasons are for me the best winter road tyre that I have used. The grip is good in the wet and the puncture protection is exceptionally good. They are also comfortable at 120 psi. They are now well used in the group of cyclists I ride with. Dont get me wrong they do puncture but they seem to be more resistance than the average.

Question
Is the tread pattern directional?
the tread pattern is asymmetrical but whereas on my GP 4000s there is a rotation arrow on the side wall, on these tyres I can't find one (though it's quite hard to read the sidewall due to the cross-hatched pattern)

I always put tyres on with the tyres rotating such that the markings have the shallower slope leading, a sort of aerodynamic preference. I'm not sure it makes any difference at all. I've never noticed a rotation arrow.

answer 3
I too was unable to locate any directional arrows but I believe you would want to observe the tyre pattern that reasonably clearly seems to want to go in a particular direction to allow water to be dispersed better.

Continental quality road inner tube 700*18-25 Race 28, Presta 42mm valve.
Nothing fancy, but since the 4 season is best suited to winter training or sportifs with wet conditions and/or road surfaces likely to cause a risk of punctures and is not particularly light, there's not much point putting something lighter than a standard tube inside.

If you currently have 700x23 tyres, I would recommend replacing with 700x23 of these tyres - straight swap size wise, but likely to be a huge boost in performance

In the winter I'd always go for the 700x 25 mm width tyres for that bit of extra comfort and traction with negligible extra weight.

Unless you want to change your tyre width I would recommend staying with the 700x23c size that you have now.

Question
How long is the inner tube valve?
Is the inner tube valve long enough to fit mavic ksyrium elite wheels which are semi-deep seciton? I find short valves don't work because you can't get the pump far enough onto the valve to blow up the tube!

Question
Suitable for a Hybrid?
I'm looking to replace the tyres on my current hybrid bike(a Giant CRS4) which has the standard wheels that came with the bike, iIt currently has 700x35c Kenda tyres. I'm currently using this bike for my winter riding, would the 700x28c be a suitable replacement for the original tyres?

You would be able to use these tyres on your hybrid bike. Going from 35mm tyres to 28mm shouldn't pose a problem.

answer 2
If you're considering the 700x28 tyres then the tubes that come with those are the correct size, they are a "tour 28 slim" and you can find details on the Continental site.

I've just fitted them to my hybrid they're an excellent pair of tyres/tubes.
