I wouldn't. Vibram soles are quite knobbly.

Not when you have the cleat in, they get a bit stuck in wide peddle openings. They are ok for the two sided peddle for short durations (or when the bravado falls short and you think you may need your foot down in a rush).

The SPD suppressed below the blades. I have used with my Shimano DX pedals.

answer 4
Yes you could but the sole is still very stiff so you won't get maximum grip on the pedals. You would be better off with a flat shoe like the Shimano AM41 Flat Sole Shoes

I have no SPDs on my bike and wonder if these shoes are a good choice?

Normally it is the SPDs that come with the cleats becasue each SPD system uses a slightly different cleat.

No cleats come with pedals or as a stand alone item.

Question
Australian sizing???
Hi, I'm an Australian 11 but I don't know if that is the same as a UK or US 11.

I've tried some Shimano 076 shoes in a size 46 and they were a bit tight across the toes.

Any size recommendations for the Northwave Missions?

Thanks,

Paul.

Australian 11 is also UK 11. Shimano shoes are notorious for being narrow in the toe box. The Missions are wider than the Shimanos. When it comes to MTB shoes I always purchase one size up from my regular shoe to allow for thick socks in winter. I am 43 in a normal shoe and the 44 Missions are just perfect.

I am a size 43 in a regular shoe. I purchased the size 44 to allow for a range of sock thicknesses. Perfect fit!!

The only way you could guarantee a perfect fit would be to find an outlet where you could try the shoes on before ordering them online from us. Generally we advise that cycle shoes are smaller than standard shoes and you may require a size larger than your usual shoe size.

Not sure for your size, but I found a store that stocks the shoes, tried them on and then ordered from Wiggles.

I am afraid that the brown size 45 item has been made obsolete and we are therefore no longer able to obtain the item.
