the 726 and 720 reflect the clamp sizes only, other than that no difference.

The RL726 is the newer model of the RL576 and as such is lighter.

Question
Retri Fitting?
Is it an easy job to add these levers to a cyclo x bike that currently has none. My bike has Ultegra shifter levers, but the braking is quite poor and I feel if I added these they would give a much better direct pull performance. Basiclaly asking how you fit them in addition to Ultegra levers, thanks in advance.

Its an easy job, the clamp on the brake means you do not have to strip down the bar and slot them on. you cut the brake casing to meet the lever which gives the inner cable the pull to the brake. the casing then continues from the lever itself so only the inner cable is exposed when braking. to be honest it will probably not boost your braking performance, cleaning rims, inspecting blocks / pads and cable tension / cable itself would be a good start. for the levers a manual can be found here http://goo.gl/C7Vw8

Yes it is a pretty simple job to fit these levers. You simply need to cut the outer housing of the cable and insert the two cut ends into each side of the new lever. The inner cable should be left as one peice and threaded through the outer, the lever now pulls the outer cable and activates the brake.

simply no, the lever runs from I.e a drop brake lever as it is say an additional brake / companion whilst on the tops. it uses the casing as its source to pull the inner. see here http://goo.gl/C7Vw8
