Just a head's up on adapters...I also have an IS mount caliper, but it's 160mm, and just want to mount it to a post mount fork.So presumed it would be the same adapter as the answer for 180mm but in a 160mm.Not true,my fault maybe ,but yes confusing. It would be useful if Wiggle also used the Shimano product code in their item description,to avoid confusion. As far as I can tell Shimano doesn't make this adapter- 170mm is the smallest .

the mount marked Front Post To IS 180mm is the one that you will need for your front forks, you said rotors so, if you need the rear one it will be Rear IS 180mm

Which is the best adaptor to fit my M4 Hope Mono (IS) caliper to Rock Shox SID post mount, 180mm rotor?

I have heard in several places that the Shimano adaptors may be best, but not sure which one.

As long as you've picked the correct adaptor it'll be fine. The spacing on the Hope calipers is the same as the Shimano stuff

Question
What brake adapter to upgrade to 180mm brakes?
I've just purchased this item but it's not the correct size. I'm looking for an adapter so that i can increase disc size to 180mm. The adapter I have purchased has the mounting holes for the brakes on the side - i will need them the same side as the mount fixes to the forks.

You will need a step up mount rather than a standard adapter. I will link the required mount below.
