i fitted a large road bike in frame forks and wheels, however i did have to strip the rear mec off and take the handlebars off the steerer and juggle things around. it would be easer with a larger box but the overall waight of bike box and tool kit needs to stay below 32kg as any heavier and they wont touch it on a plain.

I’ve used the box for road bikes. I ride a 50cm frame. The frame fits in fine as do the wheels – however they will not fit in in the wheel bags provided and it’s a tight squeeze. I’ve used it on 5 or 6 trips with no problems. However, if you’ve got the cash I’d splash it on one of the fancier bike boxes with specific places set for the wheels they are much easier to pack.

Yes this should be a issue, you may need to remove the handlebars though or at least the extensions if they are too long.

Youc an fit smaller MTB frames in the box but they do require further dismantling. We would recommend the Roofbox bike safe for full suspension bikes.

Having loaded my 58 928 C2C Bianchi into the case, I'm not to sure you'd get a bike with an integrated seat post in unless it's a small frame. If your near tyne & wear your welcome to have a go at fitting into mine before you buy.

The internal measurements of each of the boxes are given so you should map out the size on your living room floor and see if you can fit the frame into the space you have mapped out.

You can, although you would be responsible for the returns postage. I would recommend using some masking tape and marking out the dimensions of the case on the floor, then try to fit the bike into this space to see if it will fit on all sides. Dimensions are as below:

Internal dimensions: 112cm wide at bottom (99cm wide at top) x 75cm high x 29cm deep

The internal dimensions are 112cm wide at bottom (99cm wide at top) x 75cm high x 29cm deep. We would advise testing this for size by measuring your bike when taken apart and laid out as pictured on site. I would suggest your bike should fit but would be best to measure to be sure.

Question
DHB Hardcase Bike Bag
Hi,

I've had my bag for a few months now and it's seen a few trips. It's recently being to Germany and on the way the bag took quite a beating the bike survived but the bag has got a few broken parts.
Small front wheel missing
One side latch broken
2 back wheels centre broken

Where can I get spares for these parts?

Regards,
Paulo.

You should be able to get the complete bike into these cases unless you have a very large frame size, the main things to do are:

1, Place the front wheel in first to one side.
2, Lower the bike in so the brake levers are facing downwards and the front wheel is under the rear triangle and angle the bike diagonally across the box. I make sure the bike is upside down when the bike is in its wheeled position, this means no pressure is on the chainrings.

3, Place the rear wheel over the main frame triangle.
4, Pack any extra luggage you may have inside the case to minimise movement of the contents.

Some bikes will require the removal of the rear mech and handlebars as well.
