The instructions are very brief. They explain the bare essentials of how to use the compass' features for map reading and navigation.

Hi,
Instructions are pretty good. There is not much to learn about the 'compass' itslef, i.e. it points North. But they explain how to use in conjuncion with a map, and also how to adjust declination correction.

From what I can make out from the very brief instructions, it can be used anywhere on the globe. I quote: "RECTA compasses with the Global System function at all latitudes without it being necessary to exchange the capsules".
