May help a little bit, but mainly stops that horrible and painful wetsuit rub that I always seem to get on my neck!

I don't think so. Best tip I got given to speed up the wetsuit boogie was to pull open the neck and scoop in some water just before getting out of swim. When you stand it washes through the suit releasing it from your skin.

Yes it does make it slide off a little easier, though to be honest its negligible compared with knowing how to take a wetusit off quickly. If you do a bit of research on the web there are quite a few tips showing you how you can get a wetsuit off in under 30seconds.

In my experience, yes. I used this recently for half ironman, and having applied this to skin of wrist and ankles, it did seem quicker and easier to get the wetsuit off. In fact, this was why I bought it - I haven't had chafing problems (yet...)

Yes it does speed up putting the suit on and removal if you put some on your wrists and ankles

answer 9
yes it helps get the suit off especially is applied to shins/ankles....

Great at stopping chafe, but can build up on suit.

DON'T use baby oil unless you regularly upgrade your suit - it will rot the rubber! And bodyglide lasts ages if applied carefully

I use baby oil to aid wetsuit removal. Splash plenty on around neck, wrists and ankles. Will work out much cheaper in long run

The reviews state that it clearly helps with wetsuit rubbing so I would imagine that removing the wetsuit would be easier also.

Question
use outside wetsuit?
Can be used on the skin as well as on the outside of the suit (outside legs of wetsuit, for example)?

It can definitely be used on the skin - not sure why you'd apply it to the outside of your wetsuit though?

As body glide is not a petroleum based product it will not damage your wetsuit. For this reason I cannot see why you couldn't use it on the outside of your wetsuit.

This product is designed to be rubbed on to the skin - I use it on neck calves and forearms. You don't put it on the outside of the wetsuit - it does leave white marks but these come off when you wash out your wetsuit afterwards and since it's not petroleum based it doesn't rot the wetsuit inside or out.

I can't see why you would want to do this but when i have gotten it on the suit when putting around my ankles and wrists it does not do the suit any harm

I wasn't aware this product should be used in any way other than on the skin! I wouldn't think of using it outside the suit, and not sure what the benefits of this would be. I certainly found it useful to get the wetsuit off faster when applied to skin of wrist and ankles.

This is designed for water sports and salt water as well as dry sports. The formula is designed to work with the skin to create a protective barrier so I am not sure how well it will work on the outside of the wetsuit.
