This stand does not come with brackets to fit to the ground, but it would be possible to do with brackets purchased from a DIY store or other such retailer.

Limitations of use
Hi, Can this rack be used to store Road Bikes as opposed to mountain bikes without risk of damage to the rims. If so, can multiple items be conected to each other to make a longer rack. Thanks

This work perfectly for road bikes (i have one) but can't be connected to make a longer rack as far as I'm aware..

yes you can use this rack for MTB or Road bike wheels. There are no connecting features but you could connect the racks yourself.

This rack is designed for road and MTB's so a 29er sized wheel should work fine with this rack.
