No, you need to attach to the bar.

Not directly but they would fit onto the actual handlebar itself which is 22mm. You would have to move all the controls and grips in about 2cm to make room for the clamp area to sit directly on the bar. Regular and oversize bars are all 22mm at the ends its just the centre section that is different.

No they don't. Just trim the end off your existing grips with a Stanley knife. If the grips rotate during use, and it annoys you - use a bit of adhesive: sorts that out.

longer versions give you a couple of riding positions. short ones have one hand position only.

Do I need to cut off some of my handle grip?
I have a Boardman Hybrid team, with the grip on there is not enough room for the bar ends, do I need to cut some of my grip?

You will either need to move your controls and grips inwards or you can cut down the grips to allow the bar ends to fit.

The Ergo gives a bit more scope for a few more hand positions while riding. The short version is a simple design to give just the one extra hand position.
