Mine didn't come with a front wheel support, there isn't one needed. They also don't supply the spare front tyre. It would take ages to run down the tread on your tyre. Worth picking up a spare!

I use a house brick for front wheel, no spare tyre but you will get alot more miles out of one than on the road.

No. But it is easy enough to raise the front wheel with a block of wood or similar

as long as you have a quick release skewer through your back wheel you should be ok i would have thought.

There is a good range of adjustment for wheel widths as i had to do some serious screwing to get it to fit my skinny road tyre.

I'd go for it - as its wiggle you can always return ti!

Question
Ease of set up
This is my first venture into turbo trainers, and plan to use my Giant scr3 on the turbo.
Is there anything else I should get, ie. a training wheel, and how easily does the rear wheel fit onto to trainer?

You don't have to get anything. The trainer comes with a skewer for the rear wheel. Bear in mind that the trainer will wear the rear tyre fairly heavily. Hope this helps.

Bikes fit quite easily into trainers, this one is supplied with a Quick release to replace your existing one which makes fitting easier and more secure. You literally hold the bike in the slots then rotate the lever, then move the resistance unit into place, it should take less than 30 seconds. We suggest using a trainer tyre like the Vittoria Zaffiro linked at the bottom of the page, these save your tyres and are designed to run quieter and reduce heat build up, so a spare wheel is a good option to save changing your tyre each time you use the trainer.

Think you could if you had smooth road tires. The training will fit fine on quick release mountings that I have on my specialised stumpjumper mountain bike. I have schwalbe road tires on this and it's ok for basic training but I have had to adjust the resisitance due to the extra tyre width.

The trainer has 5 resistance settings which you need to change manually before you start, then you use the bikes gears as normal once you're underway.

answer 2
I find that if you set the trainer at its middle setting, you can let the gears do the work as it is on the same principal as on the road.
The resistance setting lets you feel you are hitting an incline. Hard setting...you come right down on the gears, easier but the resistance will not let up.

Yes, the flywheel is adjustable for use with bigger/smaller wheels. I have used it with both 700c (27") and 650c (26") wheels successfully.

This trainer is compatible with 26", 650c and 700c wheels so you won't have any issues with 700x25c tyres.

Question
Can you use this with a non quick release wheel?
I have an old mtb which I was looking to use with this trainer, however it does not have a quick release rear wheel.

Can I fit my current wheel to this trainer or do I need to buy an adapter for the trainer or a new wheel for the bike?

Thanks
