I don't see why not, I've used it on my carbon frame. Check your frame manufacturer's literature I suppose if you want to be sure.

Naturally, you can't see through it so you won't see the weavy goodness of your frame, but yes, it sticks fine and does what it is meant to do.
I added it to carbon fibre forks and carbon fibre seat stays and have had no problems at all.

The frame material doesn't make a difference. Carbon fibre is varnished anyway so the vinyl will be on the varnish, not the carbon. The one caveat is that this vinyl isn't easy to get off - not such a big deal with aluminium but to scrape it off carbon might risk chipping the varnish.
