No.
These are designed to be used with cycling shoes only.
Whilst you physically could ride with runners on, it is not at all practical, comfortable or safe.

answer 2
These pedals are only for proper cycling shoes. Even if there was some sort of pedalling surface on the other side the surface area available would be far too small and extremely unsafe. Clip-in pedals are for clip-in cycling shoes.

you've got to use cycling shoes really although I suppose it is possible (just very awkward) not to

answer 4
These pedals feature the SPD-SL mechanism on one side of the pedal. The other side does not really offer enough support as it has a curve to the body. It is possible to stand on the mechanism side but these pedals are designed to be used with specific shoes.

pedals are for both right and left. however, I guess your question is if the individual pedal is flipped you cannot use it...and you cant, then you have to use your foot n flip it back..I have very seldom this problem because you not really clip out that often..n flip it back with yr foot is not a problem.

A pair. And they are marked L and R on the spindle end, and must be fitted on the Left and Right cranks, which do not thread the same way. I suggest you read an online article about changing pedals, as they will be tight to remove, and you will need to thread them on carefully on the correct sides!

You get a left one and a right one. It's like buying shoes. One for each leg.

On the shoe description it should say if they are spd-sl or just normal spd shoes. I just caught out by this. Already had spd shoes but wanted new ones and when they arrived they were spd-sl shoes, so i then had to order new pedals! read carefully on the description!
