They come in sizes 32 and 37. 32 seems to be unavailable and the 37 is a small 37, I would go with these, in fact I did, best tyres I've fitted to a pedal bike.

I had the same query. Bought 700x37 and they are absolutely fine. 700x32 would be equally as good.

Yes. That's why it states 700 in the sizing. It's more important to guage the width of the tyre in relation to the wheel rim. 700 x 25 may not suit if your wheel rim is wide and vice versa, a 700 x 32 may be too "fat" for a narrow rim.

It might be. It really depends on the type of frame you have. 700x28 are too wide for many road (race) bikes. They should fit on hybrids and cyclocross bikes with no problems.

These tyres might be a tight fit with your brakes and frame. The best thing to do is ask your dealer or Specialized themselves.

This would depend on the bike and your wheels. I would recommend contacting Specialized for their recommended tyre widths.

No idea. I don't know of anyone who has gone back to a tyre manufacturer due to punctures, but if it happened a lot I'm sure you could. I can't see the manufacturer quibbling over the inner-tube though. The only problem I've had with the tube is the valve-heads blowing off.

There is often some bizarre overlap with tyre sizes... but go for 406mm.

Hi,

I have used a Panaracer Pasaela Tourguard tyre for commuting, and it is great. Not as fast as some slicks, but so puncture proof it is worth its weight in gold.

If you measure the inner width of your rims and consult the section under Width Considerations here...

http://sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html

That'll tell you what widths you can use. I would go for 1.5" if it fits.

You'll also want some high pressure inner tubes with presta valves. If your rims are drilled for schrader, you can get rubber grommets from most bike shops to make the hole smaller.

Neil

Not this one, you need the 26x1.6 available under "MTB-Road". This will be narrower than your current tyre but not too much. Make sure you get good pressure in it though!
It'll be a bit slick for wet days and don't expect that groove to shift much water even on a damp day.
Moving from knobblies to road-like tyres (very sensible) for road use you'll be best off with a decent tread. It will roll better than a pure MTB tyre and grip better too, not as good as a slick in the dry but when was the last day you were guaranteed a dry journey.
A good tyre but check out treaded ones first IMHO.

Hi,

The 37-622 tyre (i.e. 700 x 37C) equates to 28 x 1 3/8, so that is your fella.

If you measure your inner rim width, and consult the chart under Width Considerations, you'll see which widths you can use...

Neither is strictly the answer. Your "imperial" sized tyre sits between the two, but is closer to the narrower 32mm tyre.

Question
Which width - 32 or 37?
I want to get some slicker tyres for my hybrid. Current tyres are 700x37 (37-622). The rims are Rigida Cyber 10 with in internal width of 19.3mm.

Can I go for the 32 and make it more 'road' or do I need to stick with 37

(90% of my riding is on the road now)

Thanks

Hi,

Based on the Sheldon Brown website (my bible for things like this)....

A rim of inner width 19mm can safely accomodate tyres 28 to 44mm. So the 32mm will be fine.

Happy riding
