Yes, my hardtail has disk brakes and the rack fits fine

My land Rover mtb is a full disc brake susser. Check tyre clearance as the wheel could hit the rack. Also make sure the side rails do not foul the rear forks. Use mine on the road so fouling is distinct possibility if you use this on rough roads so check your suspensin travel. so far have had no problems and weigh in at 15 1/2 stone!

You will need a Topeak beam rack to fit these side frames too but a beam rack should fit most hardtail mountain bikes.

Beware - there are two different side frames depending on the beam rack you have. You must buy the right one as they are not inter-changeable.

Can you use the Babysitter with the Topeak MTX Rack
I have the Topeak MTX Rack without the Dual Side Frame. If i purchased the side frame would i be able to attach the Babysitter onto the MTX Rack or would i need to upgrade the whole rack to an explorer with side supports for disc brakes?

You should use the correct rack for the seat which can be found here: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Topeak_BabySitter_Rack_for_Disc_Brakes/5360044574/

You should not use a beam rack as this will not support the seat correctly.

Why can I purchase the Topeak QR Beam MTX Rear Rack for delivery to Australia but find that the compatible Topeak Dual Side Frame for the EX/MTX Rack does not ship to Australia? These surely go together.
