Question
I have a 50mm carbon rim, i am wondering if the 60mm tube will be able to fit?

Obviously it will pass through the rim, but with only 10mm in fresh air you will probably have difficulties connecting a pump to it - especially out on the road. Easy answer is to use an 80mm valve, alternatively fit valve extenders (fixed or removeable)

I would go for the 80mm continental. Otherwise inflating is problematic.

they fit but you will still need an extender for pumping up, but at least you can get to the valve to open/ close unlike receeded shorter valves. However, if you use the cleaver toepeak extenders they allow you to open and close receeded short valves and save the expense of long valve tubes.

It will fit and will protrude by a few mm but I would recommend a longer stem valve or a valve extender for pumping up the tube.

Yes these tubes do have removable valve cores and would be fine with puncture proofing slimes.

Question
80mm long enough for Reynolds Strikes?
Are the 80 mm valves long enough for Reynolds Strikes? They are a 66mm depth rim. Will there be enough valve left to attach a pump or co2 inflator ?

Question
Are the continental 60mm valves OK for SRAM S60s
The reviews of the Continental 60mm tubes seem to be reviewing the 80mm as well and I am not sure if the 60mm is OK for my wheels.

No. I use 60mm Continentals on my Cosmic Carbones which are 52 mm high and this is absolute maximum for 60mm Continental valves. S60 wheels are 60mm high so Continental's 60mm valves are too short. Note also that many of "60mm-valves" of other manufacturers are even shorter than Continental's 60mm valves.

Deany1 - No, I strongly recommend you get the 80mm valves or your pump won't lock down properly on them. I tried 60's first and hey were too short.

Question
60mm valve practical for a 46mm rim?
Similar to the last poster regarding his 50mm rims, I'm waiting on delivery of a set of Reynolds 46mm clinchers and wonder if the 14mm of clearance will be sufficient to allow a pump to hold the valve?

14mm still isn't really enough for a pump to produce a good seal on the valve. I would recommend a longer valve or valve extenders to guarantee a good fit.
