Question
What does presta 52mm/60mm mean?

answer 1
it's the longer of the valve. The more deep is your rim (like 60 mm carbon rim) the longer the valve should be.

answer 2
Presta is the valve type (Presta being the thin ones, as opposed to schrader the fat ones the same as car vaves). The numbers are the valve length.

answer 4
Is there any downside to using a longer valve on a regular tire? I am using normal rims now but I might be upgrading to a deeper rim in the future, so a longer valve would be better.

Will it be OK to get the longer one to use in the mean time with a regular wheel?

answer 5
52mm are for standard section wheels
60mm are for deep section rims.
the valve needs to protrude from the rim enough for your pump to get purchase when inflating.
buy inner tubes according to your rim type.

i hope this helps

presta valve and the valve stem is 60mm long.... i.e. extra long for deep rim wheels

answer 7
Thats the length of the presta stem valve. 52mm/60mm is a longer stem valve that fits onto deeper aero rims. 42mm is the standard length for normal rims.

Sicxer
answer 8
its the length of the valve itself. Depends on what wheels you have as to whether you need the longest valves.

Just search for presta valve in wikipedia if you need to know the difference between Presta and Schrader

Yes, the thread on the ones I bought, runs the length of the valve to the tube. There is a nut that you can add after fitting which keeps the valve tight to the wheel rim

The whole valve should be threaded as it requires a locking ring to hold it securely against the rim.

answer 1
700 is the wheel size (although they actually measure 622mm in diameter) and 19/23 is the tyre width range (in millimeters) that the tube will fit. Find out your tyre size (found on the side wall) then select a tube that will fit that size.

700 is your rim size, 19/23C is the rim width. buying any 700X18/25C will do you just fine.

These will a good replacement for your old tube. The 700 is reference to the wheel size a standard road wheel (27") and 19/23 is the width in mm same as 3/4 -1 inch.

700 = size of your wheel and 19/23 is the size of your tyre. Most road bikes use 23 for their tyres.

answer 5
they are the dimension of the wheel (700) that the inner tube will fit, and the (indicative) dimension of the tyre (19 to 23). Although consider that it's elastic rubber so it can easily stretch to a 25c tyre.
Look for these numbers on the side of your tyre to understand which is the correct inner tube for you. My guess is that you have a 25c (fairly common) as 19 to 23 are really thin and used mainly for competition and my guess is that you do not compete with your bicycle...

answer 6
The numbers are typical road bike tyre sizing. The 700c number is the diameter of the wheel, around 28" and normal for a road bike. The 19/23c is the supported tyre widths of the inner tube so you can fit this tube to a tyre between 19c and 23c. To best match this size you should order the 700x18-25c size of this tube.

the tube will fit your wheel without problem. As long as the tube is 700x18/25C. It means it will fit the rim which is 700 and the tube width (18/25) is suitable for rims width of 18 to 25mm. Your tyre being 23 you will be all good.

It says on the packet...often there's an acceptable range e.g. 18-25, or 23-25 etc. Different tubes inflate differently but just go by whats on the packet, psi is less relevant. 110 is usually enough, not sure why you need to go to 130.
