Yes, a pair of inserts will give you two, enough for one brake. For both front and rear brakes, you need four inserts.

I run these on my Brompton, which is a 2008. You should have cartridge style pads on yours (are they metal with a grub screw? - if so yes), in which case they fit fine, and work well. And don't wear the rim out quite as quick ;)

if it says shimano on your brake calipers and they look like a road bikes they will. I used them on my Airnimal folder. Check that the rims have a smooth contact face as these do not like a ridged surface.

Absolutely yes and your brakes will be so much better as a result. I've done this upgrade on a Boardman road bike and it's fantastic.

Just be gentle with the grub screws and don't over tighten them as it is easy to ruin their threads…

Yes they will. I replaced the stock pads on my R580's with Salmons & they fit no probs. Huge improvement in brake performance by the way!

These pad inserts are the same shape but unfortunately there is no way we can guarantee they will definitely fit.

No as Shimano inserts are a different shape. Better off going with new pads rather than inserts.

Question
Do these fit Tektro canitlevers on a Spec Tricross
I've a Specialized Tricross that came factory fitted with the Tektro cantilevers (although the only information I have is the tha the front canti is the "wide" and the back is the "narrow" - which is slightly obvious if I look a them!) and wanted to know if these would work as replacement pads for the originals.

yes they will but only if you purchase the shoes/holders as well. These koolstops are cartridge inserts but TIagra brakes are one piece items.

answer 2
As long as your Tiagra brakes have the cartridge brake block system and not a one peice brake pad you should be fine to use these pads.

Question
Dura Ace Carbon laminate compatibity
Hi there,
Just to confirm 2 things please:
1: these are compatible with sram red calipers, and
2. The Salmon are okay to use with Dura Ace Carbon lamitate wheels (if my logic is correct the soft pound pads will wear quicker sparing the rims)
Cheers,

answer 2
Yes these should fit the Sram Red holders without any issues. They are fine to use on DA laminate wheels as they use a standard Alloy braking surface. The Salmon is soft, it will provide better braking but wear quicker, this does have the benefit of being less harsh on your rims.

The Tektro brake pad holders are Shimano compatible so these pads should be fine in your current holders and brakes.

I am not sure that they would, things change slightly over the years and 6 years of change may be too much. I would recommend contacting sales with images of your brakes and pads so we can compare for you.
