Questions & Answers for Hope Grip Doctor Bar End Plugs

Question
how are these used?
hi I just received these and they are much smaller than I expected. Are they really meant to be used as bar ends to allow wrist rotation (what I need them for) or are they just end plugs?

I've not put them on to try - maybe they will work as bar ends, but they seem too small to "grip onto". I can't find any pics of them in use.

They are indeed intended as end plugs. They way they work is when you tighten then allen key (you will need to tighten it a fair amount) it causes the rubber backing part to expand therefore securing them snugly into you handle bars.

No, these are designed to finish the end of your bar nicely. Certainly not 'bar ends'. Bar plugs instead.

These are grip doctors, their sole reason for existence is to hold on your grips and plug the end of the open bar. They are not bars ends no.

They are just fancy bar end plugs. A great improvement on plastic cork tae plugs as they stay in place [and look nice too]

These are just end plugs i.e. to stop your grips sliding and to protect the end of your bars.

I imagine that they will fit most bars. As you tighten the screw it expands the central rubber piece to lock into the bars. I have standard road bars and they were too small out of the bag but a few turns and they fitted nicely. Once in, a few more turns and they are locked in place.

answer 3
The diameter of the external part of the plug is 28mm. Two different width expanding rubber wedges are supplied to aid fitting.

I don't see why not. The only contact between the bars and the bar end is the rubber part. Should be fine as long as it fits into the bar.
