Any outer with a compatible PCD will be fine, something between a 50 and 53 would give the best ratios though.

This ring is specifically for double chainsets so should not be used on a triple. You should match A or B rings with matching A or B rings.

Question
B52 / 53 Outside diametre differance?
I'm currently running a B 52 outer chain ring (rather worn out one at that!!) I find it my bike is not geared low enough at times in my lowest gear.
A. Would a B 53 chainring improve this
B. Would a B 53 chainring fit in place of my B 52 with no other mods?

Going up one tooth on the largest chainring shouldn't cause many problems. It does depend on the capacity of your front and rear deraileurs though, you need to be sure that your front derailleur can support the range of your chainset, if it is currently maxed out a 53t could cause you some issues.
