Your photo shows the outer cable as being black but I thought the Dura Ace cable sets where grey? Please confirm what colour the outer cable is?

yes, but don't bother ... go with the Transfil flying or black snake cables ... smoother, won't rust and worth every penny.

Shimano Brake and Gear cables are the same so you shouldn't have any issues using this with XT/LX brakes.
